Campus Operations

The objective of operations is to provide the most favorable level of maintenance service, quality and safety on time and at a responsible cost. This is accomplished through mobilizing and empowering a team of contractors and vendors who we feel best represent what Lake Avenue Church stand for.

Plaza Information Center Operations requires facilities and equipments to carry functional responsibilities. The facilities must be maintained at a level consistent with the mission of the church, which brings clarity to how operations should focus its efforts, as we undergird and support the goals that have been identified as being core values.

We must constantly evaluate equipment and resources, requiring that each component be serviced and kept in operating conditions at all times. Working against this required reliability can mean the difference between the systems components remaining active or inactive.

To insure that the system performs as required, a maintenance program is established that accomplishes two primary tasks: testing of the entire system and components, and regularly scheduled maintenance of system components.

Lake Avenue Church is a very large and complex campus composed of very old as well as relatively new buildings that work together to serve the church body and the community at large. Even though the buildings stand-alone they work together as a group to facilitate the ministry efforts. The equipment and resources must be viewed in a similar fashion, they work together as a complete unit. Like the church body, if the equipment doesn't function properly as a unit, it hinders our ability in operations to serve the campus in its fullness.

The church body establishes the spiritual objectives, operations and maintenance provides the services and resources that support those efforts. The relationship is the foundation for assignment of authority and responsibility to the members of our organization team. The team approach is vital to consistent, active on going pursuit of the proper balance that gives life to our ministry efforts.

No organization can realize it's potential, unless it's people and resources are in tune with and committed to the main objective. To succeed, we need to bring focused attention to all aspects of the system and how it supports the ministry efforts.

There are a lot of backstage contributions deposited into the life-giving flow of ministry on our church campus. It takes hard work, loyalty, dedication and a commitment to excellence to support the efforts of an operation of this magnitude; the hidden cast that contributes to this is a powerful resource.

Campus Services

"For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building." - 1 Cor. 3:9

Our task in the Campus Events and Services Department at Lake Avenue Church is to schedule, prepare, and assist in the planning of events, and to provide services and resources needed for ministry. We have over 600 events a week, which is over 40,000 events a year. Examples of an event are either a meeting of 10 people, a worship service of 1,500, or a concert of 5,000. We thank the Lord for so much ministry to support and the lives that are being changed.

Our department is comprised of a Director, Event Coordinator for Church Ministry, Event Coordinator for Outside Groups, and Wedding Coordinator. We work with our Operations Department and Production Team to coordinate and plan each event, as well as to provide all needed resources to support each event.
