That's how one of our incoming 9th graders remembered her twenty-four hour Wednesday-to-Thursday experience with Lake Ave this past week.
About fifty students - made up of the incoming Class of 2014 and our Katrina Project 2010 team - spent the night at LAC in between broomball, Bible study, a pool party, and our Thursday AM service project at the new ACTS Thrift Store (opening July 17!).
The Pasadena Star News picked up the story .
My two thoughts: 1) it really was a memorable 24 hours, and 2) in order to make sure she and her classmates haven't "peaked early" with LAC, we need help. If September started tomorrow, we'd have a few dozen students without a small group leader for the 2010-2011 school year. Interested in serving? Interested in praying? We have need for both!
