Calling all ‘young adults’! We’re starting something new here at LAC. Nowadays, church-based college ministry almost always includes non-students. So, we decided to make it official. We’re excited to announce the launch of a college and young adult ministry. The story used to be pretty straight forward. Earlier this spring, the LAC family studied the lives of faithful men and women in the Bible. We were encouraged to learn from one of them - Esther. Looking at her life, we see how she was one who was willing to step forward in dangerous times. Like Esther, will you be ready to trust God – even in challenging situations? While preparing this wonderful musical, our singers have been learning lyrics that echo the story of Esther. In January, we focused on the Sanctity of Human Life and the need for the body of Christ to stand on behalf of the unborn. In the United States alone, 1.2 million babies are aborted every year. This tragedy often seems overwhelming but we know that the Lord has declared victory over sin, including the act of abortion. As Christians, we can defend the innocent by telling the truth about abortion with boldness and courage. We can love those who have undergone abortions, assuring them of the Lord’s grace and mercy.
