Children & Student Programs
The Worship and Arts Department at Lake Avenue Church is about the praise and worship of God. It is our privilege to teach children and students to use the gifts and talents God has given them to praise Him. We want to encourage and empower them to develop and use those gifts, both in the church worship setting, and in the community where we live. We want children and students to not only make a joyful noise but to have a joyful experience in the process. What they experience in this program will serve them a lifetime as they learn about our Lord and how to praise Him. - John Stothers
"Let everything that breathes, praise the Lord." — Psalm 150:6

Organ Project
WORSHIP CENTER PIPE ORGAN RENOVATION
As of October 2010 the Casavant Pipe Organ Opus 3656 had served the Lake Avenue Church for more than 22 years. Lake Avenue is a church dedicated to worshipping God through music and the pipe organ continues to lead our congregation in musical worship to the Lord. This magnificent instrument needed some repair and upgrading to maintain its role in musical leadership and enhance its role in musical education and performance. About 130 of the pipes were sent back to Casavant for repair; the electronics of the organ was upgraded for greater reliability; and the memory of the organ was enhanced for performance and to facilitate training of future organists. The repairs and upgrading has been completed in a faith commitment pending donations to the renovation fund.
If you value the musical leadership of the organ please consider making a special gift to the organ renovation fund. If you would like to make a memorial gift please contact Linda Neuenberg by e-mail at lindan@lakeave.org or call 626.817.4808.
