Adult Ministries

Our Adult Ministries at Lake Avenue Church provides opportunities and communities for spiritual growth where hurts are healed, where friendships are developed, where authentic relationships are built, where marriages are strengthened, families are bonded, where singles are valued, where love is alive, where God is understood, and where Jesus Christ is Lord. This occurs through weekend classes, small groups, activities, retreats and joining together in reaching out in serving those within our community and world.

The purpose of our Adult Ministries is to help people to do three things here at LAC: connect, grow and serve.

Our Goals

  • Help connect people in authentic relationships at Lake Avenue Church.
  • Help people grow and mature in their relationships with Jesus Christ.
  • Equip and encourage people to serve in ministry.

  • Ostrich Christianity

Taking Our Heads out of the Sand

Sunday, May 29Event Runs April 17 to July 17, 2016
    11 am - 12:15 pm, OH 202

There are so many topics that we just don't talk much about in the church. This may not seem like that big of a deal, but it really is! If we are inundated by media and people all talking about a topic that we tend to ignore as Christians, then there are at least two major problems. 1) People checking us out from the "outside" will notice this discrepancy! 2) We won't have thought much about the given topic from a Christian perspective, thus leaving us hamstrung "out there" in the real world.

    Let's do something different then!

The Crossroads Class is hosting a series in which we'll pull our heads out of the sand and talk about some of the difficult topics that are facing our world. The series is led by several staff members and some lay leaders as well. We'll dive into these issues, looking at them through a Christian worldview in order to increase our knowledge and better equip us for conversations with people where we all work, live, and play.
    See you there!
