We invite women of all ages to join Evening Break Bible Study on Tuesday nights from 7-9 pm in the Rose Room at Lake Avenue Church. We will grow together through being a part of small table groups, hearing teaching and then having discussion time around our tables, sharing from the teaching and what we have learned while studying during the week. In addition, fellowship and prayer for each other will help us each to feel loved and supported.

We start with a study on the book of Esther in the Bible. We will learn about developing Godly character in the midst of a culture that does not emphasize doing what is right. We will also see God working in the circumstances and events of people's lives to bring about His plans. Esther will stir us to examine our character and look deep into our hearts. It will encourage us to take a stand for what is right and to also have courage to remember that God is still in control.

As the new year starts, we will start a study on the prophet Elijah from I Kings using Priscilla Shirer's study guide. She invites us to Expand our Faith and experience God's Fire. "Elijah emerged as the voice of unapologetic truth during a time of national crisis and moral decline. His ministry was marked by tenacious faith and holy fire- the same kind you will need in order to remain steadfast in current culture. We will take a fresh look at Elijah and the difficult choices of obedience that kept him anchored, sharpened his faith, broadened his impact, and invited heaven's fire to fall."

You may register here online or in person at the table in the lobby from August 20 thru Sept 17. Cost for the year is $25 and includes both study books.
