THIS SUNDAY: PROMOTION SUNDAY!
Dear Parents, as your students are transitioning into the next grade, or starting high school for the first time, this Sunday we are beginning our series called The Big 3. We will be engaging students with the three biggest questions they are asking as a high schooler: Who am I?/Who is God?, Where do I beong?, and What's my purpose? This Sunday is also Promotion Sunday, where we'll be welcoming our incoming Freshman class, and saying goodbye to our current Seniors, who we will greatly miss!
- Upcoming Sunday's for you to know about:
- June 12th: we'll have a combo service in Middle School!
- June 26th: is VBS Sunday, so we'll be in Main Service!
DONATE CEREAL TO HIGH SCHOOL
- Over the last year we've enjoyed providing cereal and milk on Sunday mornings - it has been a huge hit with new kids and when your students bring their friends!
- However, we've reached our threshold with budget, and would love your partnership with us in providing cereal and milk on Sundays.
- Here's the simple ask: if each family provides 1 donation of two boxes of cereal and 2 gallons of milk, that would be greatly appreciated. Cereals that we enjoy are Lucky Charms, Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Captain Crunch, Frosted Flakes, and anything chocolate-y. FRESHMEN FRENZY
- For students that are currently in 8th grade, we're having our Freshmen Frenzy next Friday, June 3!
- Come ready for an epic scavenger hunt, meeting some HS students and leaders, and hanging with other incoming Freshmen! Let us know you're coming by signing up HERE
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
- We have TWO epic getaway's this summer, that are each just one night camping trips!
- In June we'll go to Big Bear, and in July we'll go to San Clemente!

VOLUNTEER AT VBS
- High School students are the BEST volunteers for VBS! Earn hours, or just come to have fun teaching little ones about Jesus (and get a cool shirt, too!)

Registration for Summer Camp is OPEN!!!
- We'll be going to Campus by the Sea on Catalina Island from August 1-5, and we can't wait! JUST CLICK HERE
- This is for everyone going into 9th grade, and this year we're also including Seniors that are graudating - that means you, class of 2022!

- Click the picture above, scan the QR Code with your camera, or text the word "camp" to 626.329.4700 to donate to our schoarship fund that helps send students to camp! We never want the reason a student doesn't go to camp to be because of a finacial situation. Roughly one third of our students have some form of scholarship that helps them get to camp. So, if you are able we would greatly appreciate whatever donation you feel comfortable giving. Thank you so much! Please be praying for our students as summer camp approaches that they would discover new ways to worship God and grow in their faith!

- We have an amazing Counseling Center here at Lake Ave, which has opportuinites for teens, parents and families to connect over:
- 1-1 virtual appointments for parents or teens struggling
- Teen support group or parent support group or grief group
- Groups will be created as interest builds, and you can find amazing resources for teens, parents of teens, and families on the Counseling Center's website
