Shine Like Stars
‘Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky’ - Philippians 2:14-15
How we can be the faithful “we” that Jesus died for, His church. Amidst a culture that is far from God, and being a people of God from great differences and divisions therewithin, Paul writes to the church in Philippi. His instruction to be joyful and thankful, his teaching on the centrality of Jesus and his righteousness, and the clear instruction and encouragement to be faithful to their calling is what we also need today. Our common desire to shine like stars as the church of Jesus requires allows Paul to address us today as he did in the first century.
