Missional Communities

Pray, Serve, and Celebrate Together

Welcome to Missional Communities!

At LAC, we believe that faith is meant to be lived out in the community. That's why we are centering our small group ministries around this new outward-facing enrichment - our vision of Missional Communities – where we pray, serve, and celebrate together!

What is Missional Community?

A Missional Community will not replace existing small groups. It's a gathering of neighbors and LAC Family dedicated to two core principles: building missiological bridges with the external community and fostering deep relational connections within the group.

Missional communities follow three essential rhythms of discipleship in the form of vibrant community events.

Pray

Pray

Quarterly Prayer Day

Gather together once a quarter for a dedicated session of prayer, interceding for our neighbors, church, and our "mission field" in workplaces, colleges, and beyond. We experience prayer as a powerful tool that impacts lives and transforms

Serve

Serve

Quarterly Service Project

Join a volunteer team and embark on a service project that meets the needs of our local community at the church or a charitable organization in the neighborhood. By serving together, we make a tangible difference and demonstrate the love of Christ to those around us.

Celebrate

Celebrate

Quarterly Celebration of Faith

Organize celebratory events like Boba-Tea tasting, Backyard BBQs, and Movie Nights, to which our unchurched friends and family can be invited. These occasions provide an opportunity to share our faith joyfully and authentically in a public setting.

What to Expect

Each quarter as you gather for three events with LAC Family in your area you will take part in a transformative journey that will empower you to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our neighborhoods. One event will be dedicated to prayer, one to service, and another one to celebration. These community events will be coordinated by your neighborhood host and are designed to bring us closer to God, each other, and the community we serve.

Why Join a Missional Community?

Being part of a Missional Community goes beyond just attending a small group. It's an opportunity to experience authentic Christian fellowship, grow in your faith, and actively engage in meaningful service to others. You'll find support, encouragement, and accountability as we walk this faith journey together.

We're not just a group that meets; we're a family on a mission.
