Dear Lake Ave Church School Families

Over the last several months, with every difficult decision we have made, we have given great consideration and weight to the health and well-being of our children and teachers. That is why, in March, we closed Lake Ave Church School (LACS) in response to COVID-19. The crisis has also had an impact on the way that LACS has needed to change in order to reopen, which in turn has made it fiscally untenable for LACS to operate.

It is with the deepest regret that, because of the impact that COVID-19 has had on our operations and our financial outlook, LACS is closing its doors indefinitely.

We are heartbroken that we will not be able to offer your family the care that you have come to expect through LACS. We are equally sad about the loss of our teachers. The far-reaching disruptions created by the global pandemic have been difficult on employers as well as employees. Please know that we have done what we can to care for the well-being of our teachers and staff during this time.

Lake Ave Church is here to continue to serve your family and the spiritual well-being of you and your children. We look forward to continuing our relationship in worship, Sunday-school, VBS, and our events. We care about you and your family immensely.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you for the loyalty and support you have shown to LACS and its teachers and staff over the years. Please join us in praying for our teachers and staff as they embark on a new journey.

May God hold you and all the LACS family.

Sincerely,

Chuck Hunt, Associate Pastor of Family Ministries
Jeff Mattesich, Acting Senior Pastor
Dan Crichton, Church Chair
