ALIVE - Video Image/Graphics Operator

The Graphics Operator is responsible for controlling the display of worship lyrics, passages of scripture, sermon graphics and prerecorded videos during worship services. This is done using a computer program called Pro Presenter, in coordination with the Technical Director (TD) blended with other video sources. An important part of the responsibility is to advance the text at the right time. For example, worshipers can see the next line of lyrics to a song before they need to be singing them. Or showing graphics illustrating a point in the sermon at the appropriate time.

The Graphics Operator is “on the job” both during the worship service as well as during the band rehearsal prior to the service. You will be coordinating with the worship leader and teaching pastor to become familiar with the details of that day’s graphics content. Occasionally during the rehearsal period, you will need to fix typos in song lyrics and adjust the order that slides are presented, sometime in a live service.

To become familiar with the equipment and process, you will work alongside an experienced graphics operator, both on a training day (outside of a service) as well as during actual worship services, until you are comfortable doing it on your own. You will communicate with the worship team and the TD, becoming comfortable on the graphics computer program, & building knowledge on what to look for to assist the TD.
